Terms of use
Tower Defense VR · Last updated 4 October 2026
These terms apply when you play Tower Defense VR ("the game"). The game is made by Yikkie, the trading name of Daniel Brummitt, a sole trader in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). You can contact us at [email protected].
Buying the game
You buy the game from the Meta Horizon Store, so Meta's store terms cover the purchase, including payment and refunds. You get the game under Meta's terms and these terms together. If they conflict, Meta's terms win.
Your licence
We give you a personal, non-exclusive licence to play the game on headsets linked to your Meta account, for your own enjoyment. Please don't copy, resell, reverse-engineer or modify the game, or use cheats or hacks that affect the online leaderboards or online matches.
Videos, streams and screenshots
You're welcome to stream the game, and to share videos and screenshots of it, including on monetised channels. A link to td.yikkie.com is appreciated but not required. Please don't suggest the game is your own or that we endorse you.
Leaderboards
Players aged 13 and over can appear on the online leaderboards under their Meta username. Other players can see your name and scores. We may remove scores that look cheated or broken, or usernames that break Meta's rules. How we handle this information is explained in our privacy policy.
Online play (Versus)
Online Versus lets you play against other people on their own headsets. The other players in your match see your display name and your board. To keep it fun for everyone:
- Play fairly. Don't use cheats, modified copies of the game or other tools to change your board, crash other players' games or interfere with the match server.
- Be kind. Don't harass, bully or threaten other players, and only share lobby codes with people you want to play with.
- Follow Meta's rules for its platform, including Meta's Code of Conduct for Virtual Experiences.
If someone behaves badly, report them through Meta: press the Meta button on your right controller and choose Report. You can also email us at [email protected]. We may end matches or refuse connections that are being used to cheat, attack the server or disrupt other players' games.
Online play needs an internet connection and our match server. It may sometimes be unavailable, for example during maintenance.
Play safely
- Read and follow the health and safety warnings that came with your Meta Quest headset.
- Clear your play area before you start. The game involves reaching, pointing and turning, and you can walk around the table.
- Take a break if you feel dizzy, sick, tired or uncomfortable. The comfort settings (snap turning, comfort vignette, playing seated) can help.
- The game suits players aged 10 and over. Younger players should be supervised by an adult, in line with Meta's age guidance for your headset.
Updates and changes
We may update the game to fix problems, balance it or add features. Online features depend on Meta's services and on our own match server, which may change or stop. We'll try to give notice before we switch off any online feature, and the game can always be played offline.
Our responsibility to you
If you're a consumer, you have legal rights, for example under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015. Nothing in these terms takes those rights away. The game should be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. If something's wrong, contact us or Meta.
We aren't responsible for losses we couldn't reasonably have foreseen, or for losses caused by events outside our control. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you keep the protections of your local consumer law and can bring a claim in your local courts.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the game gets new features. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
